Greeted warmly and sat at a table close by the window but also close to the radiator and a fireplace so was nice and cosy with an outside view. Our server, Jake, was really lovely and attentive to when we needed more drinks and any questions about the menu. He even called before our reservation to let us know they were out of roast dinners (we didn’t come for them anyway) but it just shows great customer service. We enjoyed all our meals and will definitely be back as it’s a nice place with good vibes.

Great staff, really attentive. The food was good, but I didn't think the prices reflected the quality. The live music was a bit too loud during our meal. The music was good and the singer was talented though!

Our first visit - won't be back. On arrival saw no staff and stood for around 10 minutes waiting for someone to greet us. We were eventually seated next to the window which was really cold and drafty so I kept my coat on. Ordered 2 roast dinners at £21.95 each - one trio and one beef. It arrived very quickly but unfortunately was the worst roast dinner we've ever come across. The 'mixed greens' were simply one huge kale leaf. Half the roast potatoes were solid throughout. The meat was so fatty, tough and not edible what so ever. You couldn't cut through it with a knife let alone chew it... the whole thing was cold too. Only edible part was the carrots and parsnips which were nice. This is the only ever time both me and my boyfriend have both left a meal and been unable to actually eat it!! The lady who served us was very nice, understanding and offered us an alternative meal but unfortunately we just wanted to leave and go home.

Spent a lovely Mother's Day here with Mum and my sisters. A little disappointing at the start, being shown to a very dark, dingy corner and having to read the menu using the torch on our phones and the flower on the table was certainly past it's best . However after speaking with a member of staff, we eventually moved tables to a much brighter spot. From there the food and the service were impeccable. We all ate from the special Mother's Day menu, which offered an amazing choice over 3 courses. We all selected the Sirloin of Beef Roast as our main. The selection of vegetables served was astounding, Leeks, Carrot, peas, Kale, Parsnip and roast potatoes with Yorkshire Pudding. The Beef being cooked to perfection. The pudding also did not disappoint. We chose differently, with Apple and Damson Crumble, Lemon Posett and Sticky Toffee Pudding, each of them delightful. The service provided by the staff was delightful. So friendly, polite and respectful. A big thank you to the Pheasant Team.
