Popped in for a bite to eat, lovely selection. Great staff and service. Very dog friendly too, noticed on the bar, dog treats and food available for them. Great idea.
We visited the pub a few times on our recent holiday to the Lakes, both times we had fabulous food. The service was always quick and always a warm welcome. Would highly recommend the pub to anyone!

Superb, old style pub in Bassenthwaite. We called in for Sunday lunch and were lucky there was a table for two available; otherwise the place was heaving. Lots of staff and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The home made chicken and leek pie was superb. Great experience and we will return.
Lovely location. Very dog-friendly and easy to get the dogs outside from the rooms. They were also welcomed in the pub and the bar serves various dog treats. The food was good quality. But the very best thing about The Pheasant Inn was the service. Always with a smile, kind, helpful and efficient. We truly felt like we mattered and were made to feel very welcome. Would definitely go back!
