Popped in for lunch. Ordered a cheese baguette and it was so big I had to take half home! And good value for money. This is a tucked away country pub well worth a visit but would advise booking or getting there early as it's small and not loads of room. Food service was at little slow but it was very busy. Would certainly visit again.
Although the food was OK, I would say it was a lot better last year (Christmas meal). The young waiting staff were very pleasant. ,unfortunately, older female staff member wasn't so pleasant.
Lovely cosy village pub. Booking a table advised. Tucked away behind a farm in Peter Tavy. There is also a small church next door.
One of the best pies we have ever eaten. The chicken, ham and leek pie was stuffed with meat and had the most buttery pastry. Absolutely stunning. All the food came piping hot and on hot plates. Attentive staff and great quick service. Very dog friendly and enough space for dogs to lie down. We didn't book in advance for a table of 2 plus a dog but we were seated quickly. I would recommend booking ahead though as the place was full and buzzing come 19:00pm! Both car parks were full when we left at 20:00. Very reasonable and for the quality of food, it's worth every penny. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert but we can't wait to return in the future. C, L and Pip 🐾 from North East London.
Delightful country inn with delicious food! Stopped in for Sunday Roast. We got lucky. They were fully booked but it was a beautiful day and their tables outside allowed for walk-ins with a full menu served. Friendly accommodating staff. Would definitely go back if ever again in the area.
