Did their full breakfasts on a couple of occasions and were consistently awesome. Very well managed pub with polite and hard working staff. I'd expect a free coffee after such a glowing review but they are after the first cup anyway. Full marks to The Pen Cob.
I love this branch of Wetherspoon right in the centre of Pwllheli. It's in the town's lovely former commercial centre which dates back from the early 1900s. It's bright/well lit; clean; a nice atmosphere with people from all walks of lives and ages, young and old gathered together. The staff are welcoming; always making sure the place is tidy and at your service. The food and drinks are very affordable and good quality for what you get. And nowadays, it cannot be beaten. As a woman, it's also a place where I've always felt safe to even hang out on my own; whether when studying my Welsh, being creative or reading a book, it's such a privilege.
Had a fair few 'Spoons breakfasts in my time, but this was by far the best, certainly on par with my mums 'full English' ... other 'Spoons take note!!. First time in this 'Spoons, wont be the last. Lovely, inviting environment, worth all the stars!
Worst mixed grill I've ever had placed in front of me. Gammon looked like it had been cooked for breakfast then reheated later, steak was unrecognisable (it might not even have been steak), chips were WW2 rationed and egg was hard yoked. Nice pub, good service, kitchen staff need to sort themselves out.
Came here today nice spoons few parking spaces at front parking at car park round the back also. Quickest I've ever been served in spoons got the katsu curry which was probably the best think I've eaten in spoons great job guys👍
