The Wobbly Wanderers were passing and as we have previously visited the Peels Arms we were aware of the food they served. We were not disappointed with what we ordered. Wobbly one selected Fish & Chips and Wobbly two opted for the Steak & Ale Pie. The fish was nicley cooked and served with large hand made chips and Mushy Peas The Steak & Ale Pie was served in a small dish with pastry on top and plenty of meat & veg. in the pie which was served with garden peas. Washed down with a pint of Amstell and a hot chocolate for Wobbly one. As we weren't in a rush we opted for 2 sweets.... Wobbly one opted for Rum & Raisin Ice Cream and Wobbly two found the urge to select Sticky Toffee Pudding and Custard difficult to resist!. It was well worth what we paid.

An absolutely lovely pub. They have an excellent menu with many great options. Everyone agreed that the food we had was really tasty and good portion sizes. The service was very friendly and welcoming. They are also dog friendly too! I can certainly recommend a trip if you're in the area looking for food and or a drink.

Always a lovely place for a meal. Super friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The menu is an excellent mix of traditional homemade pub fare and an extensive range of specials. There is always a good selection of alternative foods as well (veggie, vegan) and a decent drinks selection at the bar too! I have yet to stay there, but if the rooms are anything like the rest of the pub, you're surely onto a winner.

We booked a table for the evening and i was really impressed with the specials, service and main menu as I have never been here before, it's local to my sisters home and they go here so I thought we would try it. Food was very good, portions are very good too, if anything the rib starter is a little bit to large, main course was excellent, very friendly atmosphere and really good staff. Parking in and around the whole town is a bit difficult so I would advise a taxi if you can, the streets are narrow and cars are parked everywhere making it more difficult up and down the steep streets, would definitely recommend going here for food though.

We’ve visited on a few occasions for food and drinks, both with friends, family and our little one. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and lovely. Always make us feel welcome, especially the Landlady. The food is terrific! Full of flavour with a great selection to suit everyone (including vegetarian options). Lovely pub which we’ll definitely be visiting again.
