This was one of the first pubs bought by Michael, relaunched November 2017. It really is unlike anything else in our group or indeed in Stamford itself.
A fantastic bar situated right next to The Crown Hotel in a redesigned 18th Century building reflective of its merchant history but with a modern twist, offering a flavoursome seasonal menu, craft beers, select wine and specialist cocktails.
We have invested in a state of the art open plan kitchen including a charcoal oven perfect for really showcasing our meat from the Knead farm, but also for getting some mouth-watering flavours and tastes throughout our dishes. The menu has been designed to offer the customer a real social and fun experience where you can share a number of small plates (or not!) or opt for a main dish and choose your own array of sides. In effect, you can create your own dish exactly to your liking.
Split over 3 levels, the urban, industrial theme you’ll find inside makes this place quite unique. We have really taken our time in selecting our drinks menu including an exciting range of bottled beers, craft ales and a huge array of spirits with an extensive gin and cocktail menu.

Nice place, food is fine. Could do with some darker real ales and some staff who know about them. Other than that it's been one of our favourite places to go in Stamford, until tonight. Apparently last orders is at 10.30 on the Saturday before Christmas. Not particularly hospitable.
The atmosphere and staff service was great but the food was equally amazing. We'll known classics but with the unique imagination of the chef. The beer was also amazing with a great range of choice. The price at the end was also representing unbeatable value for quality.
Lovely place with delicious food. Atmosphere and service are great. Coktails looks beautiful and taste amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone!
We popped in for lunch yesterday. What a gem of a place. Old distillery, beautiful refurbished. We ate the Tapas and Chicken burger & fries which were absolutely delicious. We were served by Laura, who was really helpful and friendly. I was able to try a couple of ciders which was great. It's dog friendly too. Would highly recommend a visit.
I’ve come here a few times for the past two years and I’ve enjoyed myself every single time I’ve been. The food is always delicious and exquisitely presented. I came earlier today with a friend and we were both very happy with how timely our meals came. I ordered the lamb kofta for my starter and then the daal aloo gobi pie. Credits to the chef for a delicious and tasteful meal! I thoroughly enjoyed it! My friend has the chicken wings for her starter and proceeded with the coconut chicken noodle bowl which she said was delicious and it did look wonderful! (My meal photos are included). Presentation of all dishes were superb as was the quality of food and the flavours. Thank you! Will definitely be back again.
