Wonderful pub with great food and attentive friendly staff.

Nice little dog-friendly pub that manages to still feel like a proper pub. Too many pubs these days feel like a corporate chain but the Parish Lantern has that slightly old-fashioned quaintness and friendliness that is becoming less common now. The menu is extensive and more adventurous than many but still has pub staples on it. We found the food a little overcooked but still enjoyable and we will return. Parking alongside and a bit of outdoor space too, for those occasional days every few years when the sun comes out.
There is a lovely feeling in this pub. The food is great, staff friendly and prices fair. Will definitely return.
We had dinner around 8 pm on a very sunny Saturday evening. We chose from the specials board, and were not disappointed. Food was delicious, non-expensive and staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Would be very happy to return, if in the area again. Thank you for the great service!!
