Stopped off on a wee road trip, who knew there was a Spoons here! Lovely breakfast and the wife had the usual eggs Benedict which was amazing (her words) nice view over the ferry coming in and out. Plenty of different nooks to sit in and a log burner in the middle to keep us all warm.
This is a very large Wetherspoons. It is warm cos it has a wonderful central floor wood burning real fire. Food is no different to any other Wetherspoons. Today we had breakfast followed by Vanilla ice Cookie Crunch. On a wild windy day, it was nice to enjoy the comfort of the fire. Another plus is the Unlimited coffee refills Today i enjoyed a Mocha followed after a while by a Cappuccino. Definitely a superior Wetherspoons. Most coastal branches are better than Glasgow City with one exception Saltcooetts.😱
Great location, prompt service. Never had any fish left the last 10 times I've been here. Glasses a bit grotty, pizzas need another 5 minutes under the grill...too doughy and the beer is a bit flat. Other than that it's very popular.
Spoons #143 what a great location adjacent to the ferry terminal for Bute. Only had Coffee on this occasion Good service, nice staff and clean All toilets on ground floor
Good place to have brunch while going on a daytrip to Cumbrae. The restaurant is a bit shabby with floors strewn with half eatwn peas, but its so crowded and a bit short on staff for prompt cleaning. The food however is amazing, except the all day breakfast which offers very less options for the price. Loved the chipotle sauce with chicken wings. The view overlooks the largs harbour and offers great views across the pebbled beach on a clear sunny day. Overall its a good place for a good rest after a long walk along the largs harbour.
