Situated in the beautiful seaside town of Combe Martin, the Pack o' Cards Inn is a unique Grade II Ancient Monument and has been feautured on the Paul Daniels Magic Show on BBC television.
Constructed to resemble a deck of cards, the pub was built on a plot of land measuring 52ft x 52ft, has four floors (representing the number of suits in a pack), 13 doors on every floor and 13 fireplaces (number of cards in a suit) and, prior to window tax, the panes of glass in all the windows added up to the total of the numbered cards in a pack.
Nestling on the edge of Exmoor with plenty of free car parking, and less than a 10-minute gentle stroll to the sea, the Pack o' Cards is the ideal base for your stay in North Devon. All our bedrooms have been recently refurbished and decorated as you can see on this website and for that special break why not enjoy the pure luxury of our four-poster bed?
We have a fine selection of real ales and lagers and you can enjoy excellent meals in our restaurant or our riverside garden. There is a large playground for the children and in the summer we have barbeques in the garden.
So come and visit one of Britain's most unusual follies - it's sure to be a unique experience!.

Great Sunday roast! Done as a calvary and many vegetable options.. the coliflower cheese was great. Friendly staff and an easy system for buying your meal! Will be here again for Sunday roast! Mmm
Lovely pub that had a cosy friendly atmosphere. Fantastic food served by very friendly and helpful staff. Prices were very good and it was dog friendly. Well worth a visit
Been twice now and the food and service is spot on. All the food was excellent and good value. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. There's also a very nice kids play area. I would always recommend the Pack.
Can't comment on the rooms as didn't stay here. I can comment on the staff and food though. Friendly staff very helpful. Food was also fine with a good selection for all tastes. Not too expensive and very tasty. It wasn't very busy when we went but I imagine it gets very busy in the summer and the website does say booking recommended. Would recommend a visit if your in the in the area 👍
Booked for my Mum and I to stay the night as we were visiting an ill family member who lived in the village. We had travelled over 200 miles and had a very upsetting day. When we turned up for our evening meal, my Mum was not feeling very well and was not able to sit I the restaurant to eat. We asked if we could eat in our room. The young lady was so kind and let us. This was a big relief to us. We really enjoyed our food and it was cooked to perfection. We had a little issue in our room to which was sorted straight away. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, and the views were outstanding. I would highly recommend this place. The staff are so great, so well done, team 👏
