Came in for lunch having done a long walk on Dartmoor with two children. Food was outstanding, clean plates all round. Lady behind the bar was very friendly. Spent the rest of the day wishing we had a local pub like this one. Will be coming back after our next walk.

I had a wonderful stay at the Packhorse Inn in South Brent when walking the Dartmoor Way. My room was stunning, featuring a very comfortable bed and offering lovely views over the walled-in garden. The ambiance of the pub itself was cozy, complete with a welcoming fireplace. One thing to note is that the inn does not serve dinner or breakfast on Mondays and Tuesdays, so plan your visit accordingly. There is a grill and a coop supermarket nearby. Additionally, there is no WiFi available.

Nice little local pub. A little outdated I think and quite dark inside. Nice selection of drinks and pets welcome. Great stop off for a drink after a walk on the moors. Large carpark to the rest. Lovely beer garden and quiet.

Passed through town on our backpacking trip, stopped for lunch. The people were so lovely and helpful, both staff and guests. The food was amazing as well, 10/10, would recommend!

Booked a double room for two nights for a friend's wedding and arrived to find that even though we were clearly written in the diary because they had changed management they hadn't honoured our booking even though a deposit was paid. They also couldn't refund our deposit either as they claimed it wasn't there fault even though they took the decision to cancel our reservation, so all and all very unhelpful. Luckily there was another hotel up the road called the Station House Hotel and Cafe Bar who were very accomodating and all round a lovely place to stay. Don't be deceived by the photos either, the carpark is very awkward to get in and tiny and the pub itself doesn't look like the photos provided.
