Traditional pub with welcoming atmosphere. Dog friendly with large garden. Great drinks selection on offer and tasty Chips . All you need for a great local !
Asked some locals where was good for a bite to eat, and was directed to the Pack Horse. I'm not sure what locals consider good, but this isn't is. Greasy cheap burger, the worst pub chips I have ever seen. It's a beautiful building, nice beer, but all of us felt queezy after eating here.

As it was on the Cask Marque Ale Trail, on this occasion I was only there for the beer and I can aver, without equivocation, the Otter Elf was in noble condition. The pub has some history and the landlord can lay claim to a haunting experience - and that's nothing to do with the excellence of his cellar. With much work done to improve the outside area, on a lovely day (remember those?) the beer garden will be lovely place to sup and munch.
Nice pub! Good food and drink and good price. Wonderful staff.
