Best Sunday roast carvery we tried in the southeast England! Recommended!
So glad to have found The Fat Fox - a real gem and a rare place to stay in Watlington. South African hosts, Sonja and Kazik, could not be more warm and welcoming and have turned this into a charming pub, restaurant and b+b. We loved the eclectic, cozy style and armchairs around the fire. Food was brilliant, rooms are so comfy, and this was the perfect place to stay after a long walk along the Ridgeway. Recommend it 100%!
Great service. Friendly vibe. Perhaps one of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a long time. And the best gravy to boot. I won't need to eat for a week :-). The servings were huge.
Didn't know the pub but went there to meet friends and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent atmosphere and staff friendliness plus the food was delicious. There's a large outdoor area to sit too plus a good carpark. Well worth a visit.
One of the best pub meals I’ve had in years. The pie with mash was absolutely delicious - fresh and homemade. The owners and staff were also lovely. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in Watlington.
