Always a good atmosphere, with loads of interesting events and nights put on, and a good pool table.
Walked in to go and have a look at the beer garden and were called over as “you 3 idiots” by some manager called Jo who was drinking. We then went over to speak to her and she was visibly angry at us for no reason at all and we explained we were only looking at the beer garden for seats. She then called us stupid so we obviously left. Awful pub.
Only pool table in the town, place is quite rough around the edges and contractor-like. Guinness taste point 5/10. Decent lager though. Sizable back garden.
Pop in for a drink locals and owner were amazing and atmosphere was like from different planet I’m loving it need to come back try food next time
Fantastic pub recently taken over by new landlords Tony & Denise. Along with their lovely helpful team of staff they offer a very warm welcome to both old and new customers. Some great improvements to include full redecoration of the inside with new flooring. Outside has a lovely large safe enclosed garden which is great for the kids, grass area replaced with astro turf which looks amazing. Now includes an outside TV screen showing most sports and a covered patio area for smoking. Children and dogs welcome. Inside offers 4 new TV screens and a lovely comfy seating area with sofas and comfy chairs. Regular events to include live Music and regular drink promotions. There is a pool table and a dart board. Open from 12pm, 7 days a week with a late licence till 1am on a Friday and Saturday evening. They plan to offer a food service very soon once all refurbishment is complete .
