About us

A lovely stone-built three storey pub with a thatched roof. Inside the main L-shaped bar features low beams and exposed stone walls with wooden flooring throughout. To the side, two further rooms provide an intimate restaurant area with its own small bar and a smaller snug to the front. The rear patio is segregated from the main garden by a large car park. The pub sits within this village and is a popular lunch stop for walkers as two footpaths lead into the pubs rear entrance with views of the Cherwell Valley.

Visited this evening with my family, and was very impressed by both the food and service. Starting out there is a good amount of parking in the rear. The pub is not large so I would advise reserving a table in advance during busy periods. I had the pate for starter and steak for main. All were cooked well (my steak perfectly cooked medium rare). The staff are very pleasant and friendly. The whole place has a great atmosphere and for the prices can be considered very good value. I will surely be returning in future.

Great food, atmosphere and lovely staff. Prawn curry and steak pie were amazing! Staff seated us at the quiet corner by the fireplace as well 10/10

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this pub, and I must say it's a hidden gem. The beer is exceptionally well-kept, The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. I'll definitely be returning.

Picked this place for a work lunch with my team. It is located in a beautiful small village and overlooking beautifilull rural areas, can be seen from back garden. Starters was amazing, just as a mains. Realy good price for a quality food you get. That's my type of place to go for food. Recommend to everyone 👍

Beautiful little country pub with a lovely sunny outside space for the summer. A good sized menu with something for everyone. Food was all home made and freshly cooked. Portion sizes are good and it's good value for money. The owners are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. There are steps but a ramp for wheelchairs is available. We will be back.
