Food was nice and very well priced. Shame about all the drunks swearing. Not a family friendly environment.
Usually never had a problem with this place but after deciding to have breakfast one morning after a night shift at work upon first entering noticed glasses that were filthy! After waiting for 5- 10 mins as the server was busy and serving food was told they wont be long now bearing in mind everyone ahead of us was seated and no one waiting to order besides me and my girlfriend as I do usually I asked for my mushrooms to be swapped with bacon which has always been allowed previously unfortunately I was told very sarcastically and rudely "no, if I can't do it for them I cant do it for you can i" bearing in mind I had heard no one else order food before us so to me that was just plain rude and lucky I didn't snap back! You caught me on a good day! wetherspoons I tell you now your lucky I didn't walk out there and then or worse. Be careful how you speak to people it's a customer facing job at the end of the day. And if I see him again I will walk out again because rudeness does not deserve custom. Despicable! Dont work with customers if you cant be nice.
Eat here quite often and was disappointed that the person bringing the food out would rather disagree with us than apologise. Twice. Went back to the kitchen and came back still telling us we were wrong. (Red hair and suit). Our table was cleared by someone else and he was lovely. Felt like he cared.
Visited here on 1st Jan 2024. Previously visited The Exchange in June 2022. Another decent quality Wetherspoons branch that does the excellent value 'Top Plates, Low Rates' food deals. An All Day Brunch and a pint of Guinness for the sum of £6.28, is very good value for money. Pub wasn't overly busy, however was to be expected on New Year's day. Only gripe was food arrived before the pint. Definitely worth a visit if in Banbury!
Decent spoons but unfortunately the chicken in my curry was a bit hard at the edges. Beer was bang on tho
