Cannot fault the carvery . My wife likes beef well done so they offered to carve it then grill it which was ideal, thankyou to carver who offered this service. Also no issue with cranberry sauce running out, it was replaced quickly. Great selection of vegetables at a reasonable price. Would recommend!
Went for a family Christmas celebration. We were a group of 20 and we had exclusive use of the Oak room. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. One or two menu mix ups but easily dealt with by friendly, helpful staff. Food was great as usual. Children were disappointed that the soft play area was closed because of broken glass, but as we had the room to ourselves they ran around and played anyway, without disturbing anyone else. Would recommend to others.
Overstone Mannor has just hosted our annual family Christmas party of 30 guests 2023. We were in the Green Room which was decorated beautifully with an open fire and our names on place settlings, with what we pre ordered from the festive menu, printed on the back to make service easy. Appreciated!!! The staff were very organised and coped well with all our requests with a friendly and professional demeanour all day. Thank you so so much to all the wonderful staff and manager Matt for all the effort you made to ensure we all had a fantastic and festive Christmas party at the Overstone Manor!
Carvery looked quite nice for a lunch but saw the All-Day breakfast on menu, it read well and who doesn’t like a lovely breakfast. Only problem is, this wasn’t a lovely breakfast. Bread had been defrosted until hard but anaemic in a toaster, with small dab of cheap margarine, yuck! Beans overcooked and tasteless, bacon chewy, sausages & hash brown ok. Frankly, awful and no one with cooking skills would have produced this. As with everything there, payment taken before food/service delivered so no point complaining, just avoid!!
Lovely Green King Pub, can't believe I've tried a few other ones and only just tried this one. The location is lovely with a garden area covered with patio and little park for kids. Lots of green space with plenty of tables. Ordered using our phones, which did take a while even though it was very quiet. The staff member brought the food and knew we had ordered our drinks and brought them out after but apologised for the wait. (Normally drinks are brought out first and fast). Good menu and good prices. Friendly staff. Would return again and would have given 5 stars if the service was a little quicker.
