I ordered a few items as a birthday present for a family member who loves to cook. A bag of flour within the package burst open in transit although everything else in the box was fine once it had been dusted off! The book is lovely with some really nice looking recipes in it and great value at £5. I emailed Barony Mill looking for the burst bag to be refunded. They sent me a lovely email apologising and refunded the whole order. All together wonderful products and excellent service.
A mill that has been producing flour with exactly the same equipment for 150 years! The tour, led by Ali, the miller, was very interesting and informative and Ali could not have been more helpful as I have slight mobility problems. Well worth a visit.
We were shown around by Alister, the miller. He is an expert of his craft, and a sincerely charming man. The mill is fascinating, and his commitment to running it is wonderful. Make sure to buy some of the Ginger Crunch biscuits from the mill shop. They're absolutely delicious.
