We offer a regularly changing menu with seasonal produce, providing classic meals with a modern twist. Our pub favorites include Haddock & Chips and our famous Steak Pies and Burgers, as well as more refined dishes like Fillet of Cod and Lamb rump. We also have vegetarian and vegan options, as well as a gluten free and children's menu.

We offer a wide range of drinks at the Orchard, including beers, wines, gins, whiskies, rums, soft drinks, and hot drinks. We have Ales like Deuchars on tap, plus rotating guest ales.
We also have a selection of single cask whiskies from Cadenheads, independently bottled in Campbeltown. Try our Highland Park 30 year old cask strength whisky or our 8 year old Spring bank Sherry cask.
Cadenheads also supplies our unique cask strength sipping rums. From the Four Square distillery in Barbados, we have an 11 year old and a 12 year old. We also have rums from Belize, Jamaica, and Trinidad, plus old favourites like Havana Club and Diplomatico. Come and enjoy the finest spirits at the Orchard.

We had a roast dinner - food was not as good as advertised online. It was cold, potatoes were underdone and not crispy and the meat was quite gritty. The pub itself was nice on the eye. Would definitely recommend if you just want a drink.
Just a 20 minute stroll from Princes Street, and it's well worth it for the Sunday lunch. We had all 3 courses and drinks and we weren't rushed either which was nice. Gave us plenty if time to enjoy the food which is excellent. We had mussels and haggis as starters, and the roast lamb and beef, the latter cooked to perfection. Excellent quality and value for money. Staff were friendly and considerate. Would recommend!
We had the fish sandwich, the steak sandwich and the fantastic onion rings. The food was good, but the service from Christopher was great.
Not bad, not great either. Their "legendary" steak pie isn't something to write home about. The gravy was strong in taste, which I liked, but the meat as well as the lid were dry. And isn't it weird that the dish is a good 60-70% chips? They were good, though. Also, why give single travelers the worst table in the whole place? Facing a wall, directly next to the entrance to the ladies' toilet. There were several nicer tables for two available from my entrance until my departure. One was literally standing just next to me.
Great pub food provided in great surroundings. Looked like a good range of beer on tap. Cocktails and wine too. We walked up to get a table without booking but imagine it gets it visitors and regulars. Close to the Botanical Gardens too.
