Went to the pig and wheel for a Xmas meal with a group of friends. Food was fabulous, all home cooked with local ingredients, even the ice cream was home made. Been here a few times over the last few years and will definitely be back. Owner is a lovely down to earth guy who makes all feel welcome. Thankyou
Booked a table for 8 of us and a toddler to celebrate my mums 90th birthday. We all opted for the Sunday lunch with one exception, my son had the signature P&W burger. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious, my compliments to the chef, served fantastically by our two servers, the young lady and the young man were a credit to the pig & wheel. Clean relaxing dining area, lovely big tables which not all establishments offer. Will 100% be returning to enjoy some more quality food.
Noticed it by chance when traveling to Street and popped back for dinner. The inside of the pub is warm and welcoming and set over two levels with great views from the lower floor. The food was exceptional. My braised beef, horseradish mash and honey glazed veg was lovely. The size of their signature burger which my partner had was amazing! Portions were big and the food was good quality home cooking at it's best. Prices very reasonable too. Will definitely be back as soon as we visit Somerset again.
Absolutely fantastic meal. Nice small menu, with food executed to exceptionally high standards. Quite possibly one of, if not best burgers I've had and the home-made ice cream was fantastic and had some genuine taste and flavour to it. Would recommend and a blessing and a curse I don't live more local as I would go back in heartbeat.
Booked for a table for two for our second time visiting the pig and wheel. First time we visited we was incredibly happy with the experience whilst we was there but tonight, it was even better. Friendly atmosphere and great service from the staff and the host/manager. Incredible food! Highly recommend the P & W signature burger! Stacked high, what a proper burger should be! Can’t wait to come back again!
