Attractive black and white timber framed building dating from the 16th century. The Grade II listing mostly refers to the exterior.
The main room is the long bar at the front, plainly furnished, with the primary decoration being a series of plates recalling the long-gone collieries of the area. Small lounge to the rear, and a another bar-free room to the side. Small beer terrace by the car park.
Clean pub. Good service
Popped in for a quick drink .lovely place and nice friendly staff.
Stood there 10 mins while the young lad behind the bar was stood on the stairs vaping considering that's the first time I've been in I definitely won't be going back he made eye contact several times but was more concerned with his vape and phone yes it was atherstone I know that cz I live in atherstone
Don't bother..... Staff (youngish boy) stands in the back vaping and looking at you while you wait to get served, first and last time I'll go there....didn't even get to have a drink.
