About us

Pay attention at the back, settle down and keep your eyes on your own work. The former Woodside School is no longer the responsibility of the School Board of Glasgow, but as The Old School House, it has kept a touch of the same flavour. A sign tells you that 'weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character', there are big sinks and old-fashioned tiles in the 'little boys' room' and, on the walls, there are framed photographs of the end-of-term play. But now the playground, with its great glass canopy, is a popular beer garden, the tottering piles of schoolbooks are part of the bar and the spacious interior attracts a lively crowd at all times - even after the bell has gone.

Went here during rush hour with a group of friends for an early dinner. A couple of dishes we wanted to try were already unavailable. Had the lasagna and beef burger along with a couple of cocktails. The lasagna was cooked well but a little too sweet for my liking. The burger was decent and the drinks were great.

Was served something resembling playdough that they considered mash potatoes, ludicrously small portion of chips also cold Could understand if was busy but it certainly wasn’t chef must be lazy or clueless probably both

Brought my family for a meal, food was delicious and great value - especially the Sunday roasts! Lots of yummy desserts to choose from. Friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food we will definitely visit again

Best sports pub I’ve been to! Lots of TVs, hard to find a seat without a good view of a screen. Good choice of beers on tap, the chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream was lovely. Watched 2 football games in a row on a Sunday as we had such a good time. Pool table was available as well. Super friendly staff. Defo coming back!

Great pub with great steak pie! One of my favourite pubs in Glasgow! They do a fantastic pub quiz as well every Monday evening! The food here comes in big portions and the steak pie just tastes so good! The haggis fritters here are great, there’s a few sharing platter options to choose from as well. There’s an extensive drink menu ( great baby Guinness here btw) and couple of nice desserts to choose from. I love the chocolate fudge cake and the crumble. Price is great for the portion! This pub is amazing for socials and footballs, I come here with my friends all the time. Great vibe, great decor, they even have a pool table! Friendly service and lots of seating including lots of outside seatings as well, really recommend this place for a night out!
