We still get the odd customer who remembers being at school in this imposing granite building in one of the liveliest quarters of town - if only all educational establishments could be as a happy and welcoming as The Old Schoolhouse is today. Popular with a broad cross-section from mothers with children to students, football fans and people drawn to the wonderful beer garden at the front, it is a large bar full of intimate tables and lovely finished areas that are perfect for any party that you may be planning. We have 7 large screen HD televisions including 2 84inch 4k HD televisions which makes us the perfect place for all live sporting events. Our food and bar menus cater for all tastes and interests. Drop in past any time you won’t be disappointed.

Twelve of us had lunch there yesterday and it was excellent! Great selection, great prices and great service. We all had our meals delivered within a few moments. Well done to Louise and her team! 👏👏

Friday 19th January 2024 My partner and I came into town for some us time with the kids at school and decided on here for brunch. I ordered the big breakfast, with conditions as hate tomato,,black pudding and haggis so asked for items to be changed and very lightly cooked. What I received was awesome!? Perfectly cooked to my liking. Was a huge plateful and was awesome!! Best breakfast I’ve had in such a long time. Service was fast, staff very nice. And clean. Throughly enjoyed this. Awesome!!! Will be back!!? Thanks guys

Had a Christmas night out here recently and what a belter, can’t fault the staff here at all it was really busy but still got food and a pint really quickly. Also with the prices of drinks here I will definitely be coming back for more! 😀

Great atmosphere and a fun quirky space. Staff were all really friendly and attentive. Spoke with Lisa during my visit who was really helpful, friendly, and a good laugh. She went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after. Regulars in the pub were very friendly and chatted away. A great place that I’ll definitely be back to!
