Being a fussy eater I was disappointed when my ham, egg and chips had a mustard dressing, as it didn't say on the menu. But overall the food was of very good quality and my three companions all enjoyed their meals. The pub is very lean and fresh and pleasant. Art works are displayed for sale. Staff were excellent. Would go again.
Every year we go from our stables at least 25 of us for our Christmas meal. Each time they deliver, food of outstanding quality, great service and a homely welcoming atmosphere. In fact the food is probably one of the best meals I have ever had out. Everyone on our table had a variety of dishes from the Christmas menu and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff are always amazing and I personally like the orchard pig cider on draught 😋. I had the turkey and Bailey's cheese cake and I am dreaming of tasting it all again! Well done Royal Old Ship 👏. Maybe just a little soft music though please next time thank you 🙏
We ate here because our accommodation was close by and there was nothing else within walking distance. We were surprised by very tasty, good quality food. Plus super nice staff. Even WiFi available. We had chicken in white wine sauce and halumni in beer breading.
What a lovely diversion from the main road and a great resting spot. Top breakfast, and the other offerings on the menu look tempting.
Enjoyed our family meal here, staff were friendly and lovely establishment. The chicken in white wine sauce was delicious! Very good fish and chips too. The children had nuggets and fish fingers (big taste buds) all went down well. Would love to visit again next time we're passing through.
