Open March 2014, we are passionate about beer. We have 10 keg fonts of European / craft beers, and 5 continually rotating handpulls on the bar, as well as real cider on draft and fridges rammed with bottled beers from all over the world.
About us
You know what they say about real ale... it takes a lot of effort to get it right, so if a bar takes this much effort over its ale, the chances are it will put a lot of effort into everything else... and we do.
Our kitchens provide quality food all day, every day - from sandwiches and snacks, through meat and cheese platters, to hearty, locally-made award winning (Great North Pie Co) pie meals.
We also are busy hosting all manner of events - live music, chess clubs, films nights, quizzes, and events like 'Meet The Brewer' evenings. Most of these are free entry and newcomers are always welcome, as are ideas for new groups.
