The OBJ returns under new management and is now called 'The Jug'. The ongoing refurbishment has started with a lick of paint but future plans will include:
- A superb new cocktail menu
- Guest Ales, as well as a range of craft bottles stocked in our fridges.
- More live music than ever before. Industry night, Karaoke, Acoustic showcase, Bands, DJ's, Sunday Jazz, and more... Bands will feature most weekends, bringing you some of the country’s hottest new acts before they break, as well as the best local talent.
- A marquee in our beer garden. Better seating, more entertainment, better lighting, bigger sound.

The Jug is always a great experience, I've only been twice but each time has nice a good visit. It's never too busy and always has plenty of seating in a nice atmosphere both inside and out. Love the craft beer and the style. It would be nice if they had a pool cue for the table though lol
It's a pub, up north, with all the usual northern hospitality you can expect. 10/10 would come again
Visited here on a couple of occasions, always found a decent selection of drinks on offer and staff are attentive. However I try and avoid using the toilets as they are often dirty, liquid all over the floor ( maybe leaking toilet or maybe urine ? ) and the door is hanging off at an angle so you have to lift it up and move it across to lock the door.

Came for the Sunday afternoon Jazz and it was brilliant, really enjoyed it! Nice blue decor and plenty of seating. Glass of white wine was ok. Had a ham n cheese bap which was nice. Staff was friendly. £5 entry
