Re-opening its doors in 2011, the Sadones family manage to perfectly merge the service of wonderfully crafted, British real-ale and quality, French Bistro inspired food resulting in a place where anyone can come a feel comfortable. We aim to provide a relaxed, casual atmosphere for the whole community to enjoy. Our menu is somewhat limited, as we believe in the quality of dishes over the quantity, but it changes regularly so you won’t have to worry about being stuck with the same old dishes month in, month out. We serve food every day, keeping it simple in style and honest in price.
We are dog, child and student friendly (as long as they’re well behaved) so bring the whole family and come say “Hello!” to Michel, Josh and their wonderful team; Jericho’s favourite residents.
We visited on a Sunday and our server must have had a late night as she was there but not present and had an attitude. The menu is slightly limited but the specials make it more expansive. I ordered off the 2 course menu but had just the one course and it was well prepared tasty and worth the wait. Atmosphere was ok but it was Sunday lunch so not great.
Went here for a birthday meal with friends, absolutely wonderful atmosphere. The food was amazing. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The crepe with toffee sauce for desert was a highlight!
A classic town pub, quite cramped inside with some limited seating in the quiet street, not far from the canal which you can cross to the north and then a pleasant 10min stroll south to the station. A reasonable range of beers, not cheap at £8.20 for just a pint of beer and soda & lime with quite slow service.
The bookies is our local. It’s a great pub with an excellent selection of beer. The food is French style, Breton. Pancakes / crepes. I love the food. It’s a family run affair. I think parents are French. A quiz night runs during the week.
A friend recommended this as a nice pub with a French twist. We had a lovely dinner 2 starters & 2 mains but it was £53 which is on the pricier side. The beef bourguignon was labelled incorrectly as £13.50 when it was actually £17.50. They didn't offer to reduce the price either since when we saw the menu it was £13.50. Otherwise the food is nice and there were some different dishes on offer, not just your usual pub food.
