We had a big party of 13, various different starters, mains, desserts and kids meals. Everything came on time and at the same time, the food was lovely, everyone really enjoyed it. The staff were warm, friendly and engaging, honestly I couldn't recommend The Oddfellows Arms enough! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are staying locally as a getaway and this is the local pub. We came in to have a look and a drink and were very impressed. We were warmly welcomed by a gentleman behind the bar and quickly served with drinks and given local information I.e. post office location, shops etc. We sat right next round an open fire place that was well kept throughout our visit. The selection of ales is great and the prices are reasonable. We are returning tomorrow for more food, drinks and a great warm pub.

Thought we’d try this place as never been before last month and a few people said it had been taken over recently. Have been in only a couple of times and were already remembered by the staff which is nice. All the staff are very friendly without being over-bearing which is great. The pub has an area for socialising and drinking , but also a separate area for eating , so plenty of choice. We were shown to our table and ordered drinks which arrived promptly. Birra Moretti was a good pint. I ordered curried parsnip soup to start with followed by steak and ale pie, and my partner ordered the fillet steak. There was a definite theme to the food when the starter arrived. Everything is home-made and cooked fresh, and you can tell this by the look, texture and quality of the food. The curried parsnip soup was absolutely delicious, with small pieces of parsnip still in the soup, making it extra tasty. The warm, crusty bread and butter served with it complimented it really well. About five minutes after my starter was finished, the main courses arrived. I have to say this is probably one of the best meals that we have both had out in a long time. The steak and ale pie was so so good. Big chunks of well cooked steak in a gravy and ale sauce, wrapped in a shortcrust pastry on the top and bottom. Proper soul food. This was served with home-cooked vegetables and home-made chips, none of these frozen rubbish ones. The taste and texture of all the accompaniments were excellent. My partner asked for his fillet steak medium to well done, and this came out exactly as it should have. The steak was still pink but no juices. The cut of beef was very good and was not chewy whatsoever. It had a really good flavour to it as well as texture. This was served with real onion rings, home-made chips, salad and tomato. My partner said the steak was excellent. As per usual, we didn’t finish all of our meals, with a little bit being wrapped up for the Dacshunds who always expect a treat if we’ve been out and left them on their own! Neither of us could manage a pudding as the portions were very generous. All in all, a great place to go for a quality pub meal. Great food and great service. Will be back!

The new owners took over I think about two/three weeks ago, we managed to get a table for early doors on a Saturday evening. The quality of the food was fantastic we both had a steak pie and me and my friend both said it was probably the best pie we've had in many years. We couldn't fault the food every table around us complement how good the food was, the service was excellent and when the bill came we were very surprised by the cost of the beers (in a good way) less than £5 a pint for decent beers, they had a fantastic selection of ales and spirits. Good luck to the new owners we will definitely be back Liam 👍🍻

Handpulled cask beers were Tetley's and Timothy Taylor's Landlord. The chap serving on the bar automatically went to serve a bloke who only got to the bar after I had already been waiting. His queue jumping effort was not successful as no one ever pushes in in front of me. Despite the queue jumper, staff should know who is next in line, if they are good enough at their job and on the ball. When I visited it was not busy. Their pies looked good and that's what had lured me in, but with regret, there is no pie option for veggies in their pie selection - you can have a quiche, but that int a pie. So I ordered a cheese and onion savoury sandwich, which came with salad and chunky chips. After a somewhat lengthy wait for what was just a sarnie, but I do have to say, it was well worth waiting for. Super delicious scrumptious chips, oh my.... gorgeous!! Tasted like triple cooked chips. This pub is worth a revisit for them alone. Oooo yummy heaven! Has gluten free options and also a kids menu. No food service on Mondays and Tuesdays. Has outdoor seating too.
