We haven’t eaten here for quite a while, then twice within a week. The chef is doing a sterling job - the belly pork was perfect, the vegetable selection ideal and cooked beautifully. Sticky toffee pudding enormous!. We will be back.

Very nice atmosphere with a real log fire burning near our table. Food was very good, we had the steak pie, service was brilliant and dessert finished off an enjoyable meal out. Would visit again sometime soon.

Perfect for an out of season stay, warm welcome. Good home cooked and fresh food, clean and well decorated bedrooms with white bedlinen on comfortable beds

Lovely meal, shame they had run out of lamb for a roast dinner though! Dog friendly, good car park. Children's play area and outside seating looked good but too cold in November to try it!

We had a nice stay at the Oak Wheel pub. The service was great - very friendly staff - and the food was nice. It had a lovely atmosphere and dog-friendly. My only complaint is that they were tight with the heating. Our room was freezing when we arrived and the heating was only switched on when we got to the room. I had to sit with my coat on for an hour (not very welcoming). Also, my husband and I woke up just before dawn as the room was freezing. The heating came on in the morning but was already off again by about 08.00 When you're on holiday you want a lie in and to relax, not to mention I have Asthma! If you want to stay overnight, I suggest waiting until the Spring - heating should be on more in November!
