Went to the Royal Oak as it was a stop off pub in Stowmarket on my way to see family in Cambridge. Stowmarket being the small town that it is, I didn’t expect a pub to have such great atmosphere let alone the food they served me and my wife. Would recommend highly to anyone in Stowmarket or surrounding places to come here for food or just the quick drink.
Enjoy an amazing time at the oak. With friendly and welcoming staff Lilli, Jade, James's. Perfect service, beautiful food. Will always keep coming. Everyone treats you like family, come to the oak for a perfect time out and have lots of fun with a beautiful atmosphere.
Great local pub and the new team has worked wonders to restore the reputation. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. I am now a regular and they remember what drinks you like and are attentive. I've only had a couple of meals there and they were standard pub fare.
dog friendly pub in town centre. delicious food freshly prepared 7 days a week.... would definitely go again...
Nice and friendly, food was prepared quickly, only thing huby was disappointed in, no cheese and a burger sauce/relish on his burger. Overall, it was very good. We would definitely go again.
