At Sizzling we believe the people of Worksop deserve more from their local pub. And it's our job to give you just that.

We're a friendly bunch and we pride ourselves on giving the warmest of welcomes. We're committed to seeking out the very best quality ingredients at prices that are honest and fair. We're a real part of the local community, proud to help fundraise for charities and offer our function area free of charge to locals and groups.

We're local to Shireoaks, Rhodesia and Carlton Forest, so whether you're up for a party, watching sport, meeting with friends and family or just relaxing and taking the time to unwind, The Cannon is the pub putting the sizzle in Worksop.

Our function room is available for free if you're having a do but we're also only too happy to let local non-profit organisations and groups use it completely free of charge for meetings and events. Just ask at the bar or call us on 01909 483312 for details.

Our main meal arrived after over a hour waiting which was cold. Then later my starter arrived. The whole meal was a total let down, will definitely not be going there again

It’s the best pub in our area. Staff are brilliant. They are welcoming and friendly. The food is consistently good. Never had a bad experience in the pub always a pleasure to go and my friends would agree. The site is clean and organised and the pool table is great. Truly a great pub.

Waited over 45 minutes for food on a quiet Monday afternoon! (Was not made aware of any wait time) I brought this to staff attention and didn’t even get an apology. Then my food arrived cold ! Really really poor

First time in Cannon since redecoration, it was a nice vibe. Good to see plenty in there as it hand dwindled in numbers in the past year or 2. Staff were great. Food was bang on. Not that I'd had a fall out with the landlord before, but he seems a different person in ways... for the good! He was engaging and up beat, had control of his staff in a good efficient way! I hope they carry this on as it could put the pub back on the map!

Was a good visit, never been before. Ordered the food and drinks via the app. Was waiting a while because some error with coming through to them which was counter productive using the table order service for quicker ordering. Can't fault the food, was well cooked and presentable. Atmosphere was good and was busy.
