Extensively renovated and improved in September 2015. Carpeted throughout, the single roomed pub has been cleverly arranged so that there are a number of separate drinking areas. TV screens abound but are normally on mute to allow conversation to take place, with the aim of creating a traditional community ale house. Outside, at the rear, is a heated patio and smoking area. The pub operates 'Challenge 25' and no children are permitted.

Lovely place to have a quiet drink through the week. Nice atmosphere, even at weekend. Staff are fantastic, friendly and cheerful.
Good Local Pub, Beer is a good price, bar staff are friendly and very quick at serving, so queues are always kept to a minimum. The place gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights, for sporting events etc. Plenty of out door seating round the back and very close to the shops if your out shopping :)
