About us

If you’re hoping for something fresher we have a tailored range of lagers, ciders and wine that has been chosen to suit you. We select seasonal drinks to suit the time like mulled wine and mulled cider to keep people in the festive cheer.

For those who like something a little stronger, we have a great range of spirits that is constantly being updated to suit trends and new spirits in the market. We have a fantastic range of Whiskeys, some as old as 14 years. We can whip up a cocktail or perhaps a pitcher if you know for sure what your favourite drink is! In the warmer months we hold beer and cider festivals where you are simply spoilt for choice.

We have a balanced variety of food on offer for all occasions and people. Whether its a quick nibble or a full 3 course meal we have got something to suit you. We have our Head Chef on side to make sure everything is prepared to the highest standards and keep people saying ‘Mmm’. You can sit in any of the bar’s to eat or join us in the restaurant upstairs, where you can sit and watch over Nottingham’s Market Square.

We have a mix of traditional pub food along with some of England’s favourite foreign food, and we are always trying new dishes to keep the taste buds tingling. We have offers available for all sorts of food and occasions along with our ‘Sharers’ that go down brilliantly whilst watching the football or having a bit of a reunion with friends.

We have a tempting range of puddings available like Chocolate Fudge Cake served with vanilla ice cream, we also have some all time favourites like our Knickerbocker Glory Sundae that will start you off reminiscing whilst tasting flavours from the past, or if you want something a little less typical you could try our Lemon Meringue Pie. What’s not to love?.

Step inside and soak up the incredible history. The Bell Inn has lots of original features dating back to the 15th Century, some fantastic beers and wines to choose from and a relaxed atmosphere. Live music on Sundays and a real gem of a place. What’s lot to like?!

Amazing food at The Bell Inn for their seafood evening. The menu was so good it was difficult to choose but everyone’s meals looked and tasted amazing. The service was perfect and our whole party had a great evening ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Said to be one of the oldest pubs in Nottingham. Dendrochronological dating of the timbers suggest it was built circa 1420. Lord Byron was one of many patrons. There is plenty of history preserved in the pub. Now owned by Greene King the selection of beers is mediocre as is the food offer. The service however is friendly and the ambience still takes you back to medieval England. Worth a visit.

Great little pub, with good food, good outdoor area, and great options for drinking. Love the old interior too. Staff who served us were attentive and helpful, even on a busy Friday evening. Would come back again.
