The Comrades Club is based above the Arcade’s Edwardian style gallery with an access off the town’s Market Square.
The club has been based in the town since 1920, it was originally opened to give ex servicemen from The Great War somewhere to socialise - since the new premises opened at the Arcade, the membership has changed and grown to encourage even more members.
With an outside roof garden, lift and entrance just off Market Square the Comrades Club offers a relaxing and attractive venue for members. The club also houses a function room, lounge and games and bar area with full size snooker tables.

Waited at the bar for 15 minutes while they repeatedly served regulars who were after me in line, before me. Must of served 10-15 people who came to the bar after me, first.
This is an excellent social club. Spacious, good choice of beers, value for money and superb sports TV coverage. That said, the barmaid is the most miserable individual you will ever come across. A slob of an individual, who just spent the whole afternoon at the end of the bar eating crisps. No conversation or customer care whatsoever. Dreadful.

Excellent friendly Club, warm and inviting. Great place to watch Football, 9 TV Screens of excellent quality. Sadly though some of the local pubs are suffering with a cold tepid welcome due to heating constraints . Its the club from now on at least for the Winter months. However I wish the pubs in Morpeth the very best and hope the Hardy patrons will keep these lovely establishments going!
