Cosy and friendly village pub. Recommended!
Visited on a Friday evening with my wife to try out some real ale [some reviews suggest that The Fox's Den serves food, but are confusing it with The Runnng Fox daytime eaterie in the same building]. Truly a den, accessed down some stairs from the street. Unpretentious surroundings, fox related artefacts on the walls, with many wooden chairs and tables within a confined space before a small bar. Mostly men on our visit and some dogs, but a friendly atmosphere. Small selection of local real ales at very reasonable prices. Beer was well kept. Would visit again.
Great beer much better than neighbouring pub the northumberland arms. Cheaper better quality and service.. Canny atmosphere
