Lovely wee spot, I lived in Berwick for years but didn't once visit the red lion. After moving away then visiting family decided to visit the red lion as my partner is a huge rangers fan. We couldn't of been happier. Not being locals I wasn't sure the reception we would get but we're welcomed with open arms and felt liked we belonged. Both the bar staff and owner as well as the locals that were there mad us feel so welcome. We had the best few hours there and had such a good laugh. Highly recommend
Very friendly staff, great place to watch the footie and very reasonably priced drinks. Also they have got some fantastic t shirts for sale behind the bar!
Its a wee family pub, the owners were there and they are super friendly and kind. Prices are great and has a wide range of beers etc. The pool table is fine. Overall it was a good stop during our site seeing :)
Didn't eat when I visited. However, on entering the premises, was greeted by a lovely and bubbly barmaid. Two other patrons who were at the bar, made me and my wife welcome. Serves a good pint and next time in the area, will most certainly be visiting again. However it is a football themed pub, Definitely worth a visit whether you are a local or on holiday in one of the holiday parks.
Very welcoming, dog friendly and the cheapest beer we had in Berwick-upon-Tweed.
