Welcome to The Squirrels, a great pub in Duston

The Squirrels is a great pub with great ales, a beer garden and music and events in Duston – we are a friendly independent community pub and there’s something for everyone! Including live music events and a wonderful garden. We are dog friendly and allow well behaved dogs in the non-food areas of our pub.

Great bar and cask ales

Our bar is well stocked with Cask Ales and all are Cask Marque accredited and excellent quality. We also offer a good range of gins all served with superior Fever Tree tonics, plus some great whiskies, rums and a selection of fine wines. There are also some great low alcohol and soft drink choices plus a choice of quality coffees and a tea selection.

Live music and events

Private functions

The pub can also host your own private party or function in our beautiful restaurant. We can host birthday parties, christenings, or family gatherings of all types and can provide a comfortable venue for a funeral wake. See more details of our function space here

Great atmosphere - really cosy with the fire. Private seating corners and outdoor area with entertainment screen which seals the deal in the summer.

TOILET REVIEW : 2 stalls ladies bathroom spotless, really clean and smelled nice. Toiletries provided as a nice touch. The only issue is there was a clean check sheet but it was rarely updated (every few days) and it's last entry was 10/11. Basically defeats the point of a clean check sheet.

Popped in at lunchtime during the week. Food and service really good; would go back! Car park is small though so if driving you may need to find alternative parking.

Fantastic Decor and furnishings inside and out. Lovely bar garden with nice seating both in sun and shade with TV for football etc. Played nice game of Snooker too- Machine is contactless £1.50 so don't need to worry about having enough coins.

We had family event there. The service was brilliant and the food was a good quality, served in same time for nearly 20 people! Well done chef and well done all the front house staff! You do really good job over there! What I liked and was surprised with - there was a "first aid toiletries box" in ladies bathroom! Good stuff.
