The larger-than-life-size sculpture of a cobbler’s last and the world-famous collection of footwear in the County Museum are powerful reminders of the trade which dominated Northampton for centuries. A guild of cordwainers (shoemakers) was well established in the town by the 16th century. By the 19th century, one-third of the workforce was engaged in the trade.
The pub looks good, the waiter was helpful which beer to drink. We had like 5-6 beers each were good.
Great standard of cleanliness. Nice staff, clean and spacious dining area. The toilets were spotless too. I always recommend using the app for you orders for ease and time saving.
Spoons #132, Very nice Great terrace on the first floor which was no smoking area. Service was fast and food was nice, couldn’t fault it.
Large, modern Wetherspoon. Spacious, light and open. Large bars on ground and first floors. Open air seating on first floor balcony. Usual dependable food and drinks on offer. Huge selection of real ales!
It is a venue sent by heaven when it comes down to the variety of drinks vs prices. Hands down it has the most varieties of drinks I have seen yet. The main attraction is the price. Infact, all the pics you saw, the total bill for all those items was only 38£. The seating arrangement is thoughtful. We sat at 1st floor. It also has an outdoor seating but we didn't go there due to cold as we went at night. We ordered through their app. Food and drinks were served directly at our table under 10-15 minutes. All the dishes (Fish chips, Pizza, nachos and cheese fries) were tasty! Do remember to read menu and order properly as they have created schemes like any 3 items for 14£, any 2 cocktails for 14£ etc. Pay attention, take your time. Crowd was also good and it consisted of both young and matured age groups. Only improvement I would say that's needed is they didn't have any sort of background music on. A simple background house music will further enhance the overall experience of this place. I would certainly rate it as my go to place anytime.
