Daventry’s First Micropub – Stocking Fantastic Local Ale and Cider
Early Doors was set up to showcase some of the wonderful Cask Ale being produced in the local area from Microbreweries such as Gun Dog Ales Woodford Halse, Great Oakley Brewery Tiffield,
Towcester Mill Brewery, Hart Family Brewers Wellingborough, Potbelly Brewery Kettering and Phipps NBC Northampton.
As well as locally brewed Cask Ales we sell Award Winning Vale of Welton Cider, lovingly produced by John Malvern at his 10 Acre Cider Apple Orchard less than 2 miles away from Early Doors in Welton Village and if you fancy a nibble then there is a “Grazing Board Menu” offering Handmade Pork Pies and Scotch Eggs from Moulton Pie Co.

Town centre micropub with fantastic choice of ales, straight from the cask. Friendly staff and generous snacks. Reasonable prices too.
My favourite place to drink in Daventry. Good, changing selection of real ales, friendly bar staff, relaxed atmosphere and usually a dog to fuss.
Something has changed here… and I like it!! My experiences earlier this year (after years of loyalty) were of put-out staff who favoured the clique, and a misogynistic owner who snarled orders at the staff. Not any more!! This evening I was warmly greeted by Heidi who poured a perfect pint, set me up a tab, and when it came to the second beer recommended similar dark beers to my first. First class - I’ll be back more frequently.
Lovely independent business which serves a selection of ales, beers and local gins! They also have lots of events/food nights and we really enjoy going with our dog. Everyone should visit!
Very welcoming little micropub. A good choice of ales, which change frequently. Locals and their dogs friendly. Staff very nice. A little gem in the heart of Daventry.
