Have eaten here a few times and the food has always been excellent until last night. We had booked for the Christmas menu but were left disappointed. When having turkey and all the trimmings, you expect a nice lot of vegetables but we were given a choice of 2, broccoli and red cabbage, there was not a carrot, parsnip or sprout in sight. One of our party said the plate of food looked drab. They are obviously cutting costs but have gone too far and are now at risk of losing customers.
We all enjoyed our lunch out. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
We booked a table last night for a family meal out. The food and service were outstanding! All 6 of our dishes were amazing and the staff couldn’t have been any more helpful. Highly recommend!
I visited for lunch with my friend and it is a very welcoming place.The food was absolutely delicious and far superior to many places I have eaten. It is situated in a lovely village and the surrounding countryside is lovely.The staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place for food,but make sure to book,as it was busy when we visited(Wednesday lunchtime).
Lovely traditional, country pub. Small, but clean and fresh rooms. We had dinner and breakfast, both delicious. Very reasonably priced. All in, a very pleasant stay with great hosts who made you feel like it was a home from home.
