Lendal Cellars is a traditional cellar bar dating back to the 18th Century and formerly the Lord Mayors wine cellar, located in the beautiful historic city of York. Really enjoyed our visit. Lovely Fish & Chips and some nice pints of Level Head. Friendly competent staff too. Thanks 👍

It's so unexpectedly spacious in here. We had been let down by our intended lunch booking and found our way here. My burger was one of the best ever, hot and tasty and the fries were just right. There is a good choice of beers and other drinks and our dogs were welcome too, thanks

Popped in on a rainy busy Saturday for a bite to eat. The place was busy, which is always a good sign. The lower section had a lot of reserved seats for a pending party however we were able to find a table down there and the staff were helpful to reassure we they're was plenty of time for us to order and not to feel rushed. All staff were, friendly, helpful and polite. All our meals were filling, perfectly cooked and tasty. Exactly what was needed. Great atmosphere and would return to again.

Popped in for a quick half while on our wall walk. What a great find! Friendly staff, very clean and such a quirky atmosphere being in 3 cellars. Didn’t eat here, so I can’t comment on the food. But people seemed happy with their orders and everything smelt good.

Went for a Sunday evening dinner. Really nice décor, friendly staff, reasonably priced menu. Will certainly look at coming back next time we are back up in York 😊
