Had a great time here on New Year’s Eve. Fantastic atmosphere & great music something for everyone across all ages. Customers in from late teens to late 70’s and beyond…all having a good time and dancing. Quick service at the bar…great pint and clean toilets. Bouncer spot on with an extremely drunk customer…felt safe…staff cleaned up straight away spilled drinks and broken glass. Come to York for weekend breaks four times a year and will be back.

One of our favourite pubs in York. A traditional English pub. Brilliant location. Fantastic music, real music, not artificial, depressing music. We always spend time in here when we visit York.
An old favourite of mine when I lived in York, I was delighted to find that it is still a great little pub. Rather unsurprisingly, it can get really busy.
Had a few drinks here on a Sunday night as it was the only pub open we found after 10.30. As a result it was very busy but the atmosphere was friendly. Staff are pleasant and welcoming.
