- The rooms weren't clean from the guests before us. - The manager is very rude and inappropriate. - The toilet gets blocked constantly and the manager is expecting us to fix it. - They only clean the rooms once a week (and this isn't always true). - There isn't Wi-Fi or mobile signal. - The kitchen closes so early I can't get food after work hours. - Terrible place managed by terrible people.

Really friendly staff made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Food was first class and really good beer. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Shame we're not local it would definitely be a regular for us.

We booked a table on a Sunday afternoon..when we arrived we found out it was only carvery which would have been fine apart from they had run out of meat..We were offered one slice of ham and the end part of the beef which had seen better days!! Also had a problem with the wine..We didn't eat and although the young waitress was very apologetic the manager ?said nothing ..We then had to find another place to eat ...not what you expect will never go again..

Poor, slow service. We had to keep asking for our food, which was served 1.5 hours after we ordered. The excuse was that it was "busy". The quality of the food was very sub-par as well, despite being on the more expensive end for local pub prices. Some of my table guests have been coming here regularly over the last years, but noted that it seems like there has been a management change for the worse. They won't be coming back and even apologized for picking the place.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Friendly pub with good food and helpful service. My room was clean, comfy & quiet (though finding it again wasn't easy - it's a bit of a rabbit warren upstairs!). The car park at the back is really handy but not large, so you want to be one of the early ones to arrive if you don't want to have to park out in the street. Will/would stay here again.
