Called in on our weekend in Whitby was surprised to see the makeover as it's been a while since we were there. Looks good inside glad to see the front windows are still there . Good atmosphere and the live music was good
Music till 2am, hard beds, stairs a mess, heating turned off at night so not good to stay in winter, feels dated, nothing to put on the door to say if you want your room tidying or not. Breakfast is fine, good location, Whitby is lovely just don't waste your money on this hotel.
Great bar. Busy with good atmosphere and friendly staff. Great location as near train station and close to shops and centre.
Only went in twice once on a night out the other to spend an afternoon watching the football. Perfect place to watch football with reasonably priced drinks. Although my wife was⁰ charged extra for the same drinks I'd bought earlier. I would recommend it for watching football.
Our room 313 was spacious and pleasant. It seemed quite clean. There's a nice big sofa. The bed (which is 2 beds put together) is huge and v comfy. Nice white bedding. One BIG gripe, however, is the loo!!! The toilet seat does not fit it!!!! It's rather ridiculous so PLEASE change this loo seat!! We appreciated the very good fan that was in the room. All the staff were pleasant. If you use a mobility scooter it's great, as there's a special small lift to enter the hotel, and park it and charge the battery up in a quiet corridor.
