Located at picturesque Robin Hood's Bay near Whitby on the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast, we offer excellent hotel accommodation, bed and breakfast accommodation and holiday accommodation throughout all seasons. We have a lovely panoramic Sea View Restaurant, Bay View Coffee Shop & Tearoom and a traditional Yorkshire Bar serving a selection of real ales and bar meals. Our historic hotel is an ideal venue for weddings, wedding receptions, private parties and corporate functions. We are an ideal base for exploring the treasures of the North York Moors National Park and places such as Scarborough, Runswick Bay and Staithes along the coastline, as well as nearby Goathland, Heartbeat Country, Captain Cook Country and Herriot Country.
I've stayed at the Victoria Hotel years ago and decided to stay again, wow the orangery is very impressive,,which was new to me. The food was outstanding, scallops and muscles were divine and so was breakfast. I was especially delighted by the service, so friendly, helpful and respectful. I'm definitely going to stay at the Victoria Hotel again.
Not had a room in years. But Fantastic service and fantastic location. Go way beyond to make sure that everything is OK. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants food / drinks. We also had our wedding reception here many years ago xx
We had a wonderful lunch at the Victoria in Early November 2023. The food was really good, with plenty of plant-based options for my vegan wife, which is always a good sign. The service was great, the staff were very helpful, and the view from the dining room across the bay was stunning. We almost didn't want to get up and walk down the hill, so comfortable was it. Highly recommended.
Very pleasant nicely kept busy hotel. Superb views from both the conservatory dining room (request a table here, not further inside) and the lovely garden. As with all of Robin hoods bay it can be a little crowded at times and you may have to queue a little, but the beer was good too. We enjoyed the food, a varied menu and pretty much the only place you can get a dinning meal in Robind Hoods Bay. My starter was OK but may hake main with Indian flavoured accompaniments was lovely. Decor is a little old school but over all recommended. Service friendly but busy.
We were recently camping nearby and ate here four times in a week. The food is very nice and filling, with great service. The prices are good for what you get and is served quickly. One of our family members is a vegetarian, and we often struggle to find food for them. However the menu has a separate vegan menu, which was one of the best we have come across, I also ate from this menu. The fried vegetables with curry mayonnaise is delicious, as is the broad bean risotto and paella with pesto, sun dried tomatoes, battered courgettes, and pea shoots. Most can also be served as half, smaller portions so you can try a bit of all. It was good to see lots of effort and tasty food for veggies/vegans. Superb 👍
