Lovely food and staff - dog friendly, welcoming and great service! Nice variety of food for a Sunday too
U3A lunch club and food excellent. Service really great and staff really went out of their way to accommodate a big party of approx 22 people. Well done
Went for a meal December. Staff and service excellent. Came away though not feeling it was value for money unfortunately. Had pie and chips - pie didn’t have a base or sides so not a pie by my reckoning and menu stated ‘with chips or mash and vegetables’ but according to staff that no longer applied so had ‘pie’ and chips and no veg for thick end of £16.
A good pub with rooms. Lovely outside seating area. Standard pub grub menu though with some additions like partridge. Chips were disappointing. A small mistake was very quickly and efficiently dealt with. Space at the rear for campervan stopovers, it is best to book ahead though.
Found this pub on Google we were staying in the area and booked at table very easy to find on the main road from walking in the staff were welcoming, we had a table in the bar area as we had our dog with us. Ordered plain old sausage and mash the best ever sooo tasty with lovely veg aswell, could of eaten it again, followed by peanut butter cheesecake, my husband had sticky toffee pudding. Wish we were here for longer, but will definitely return when we are back in March.
