Really delicious food. Large family group well catered for. Wouldnt hesitate to visit again
I had the four course Christmas lunch and it was amazing. Service was excellent, soup and main meal well presented and were hot and cooked to perfection, had the cheese cake for sweet which was delicious and nicely presented. The only thing I would change was the 4th course as the mince pies were served cold it would have nice to have them warm as they are so much nicer when having a hot coffee whilst eating them . I would definitely recommend.
Me and the wife decided to go here for some food recently as we live in Hemingbrough and thought we'd give it a try. We arrived when it opened so we were the first people in and were greeted and told we could sit wherever we liked. After sitting down the bar man asked us what we would like to drink and said he would bring it over and put it on a tab for us, we then ordered some food and there was far to much for the 2 of us, the nacho sharer to start was like a main meal and we were far to full of delicious food to finish our mains! To sum up the food was amazing with an enormous selection and the service was lovely as well, we will definitely be coming back here to sample the rest of the menu soon.
Lovely guy who served us, I like to eat a decent amount of food and we got plenty between us. They have those soft on the inside crispy on the outside chips.
This lovely pub was recommended in the welcome book at Still Rabbit Lodges where we were staying. We were not disappointed. Lovely friendly environment, welcoming Landlord and waitress. The home made lasagne was scrumptious. My husband had the steak pie. It was packed full of meat, butter soft. (I tried it). Make sure you're hungry because they're very generous portions and you have to eat all of it, because it tastes so good. Haha. 😁
