A great gem of a hotel tucked away from the centre but only a short walk. Entertainment on every Friday evening. The bar area is furnished well with booth seating all round. Had a weekly deal on, subscribe to get code, buy 2 large glasses of wine and get the rest of the bottle free. Deals change each weeks. Had a great night of here with family, will return again soon
We went for lunch with friends on the 22nd. of January and have known the Spa for years and have always had a good experience with good reasonably priced food and friendly efficient service. Now after a much advertised major upgrade, we were looking forward to a new experience. The food was dreadful. I ordered Prawn Spaghetti with courgette and Parmesan. What I received was a heap of spaghetti, swimming in liquid, with 3 jumbo prawns dumped on top. I had to double check the menu to see what came with it. I had to look for the courgette, I found a sliver and bits, which at first I thought were herbs. Not obvious where the Parmesan was, the only reason I knew it was there was the residual coating my fork. There was a puddle of water at the bottom which made me think the pasta hadn’t been drained properly. Seeing pasta costs pennies, 3 prawns and invisible courgette and Parmesan, the price that they charged was extortionate. A member of our party ask for a glass of water and was very bluntly told to go and get it herself from a water container on the bar. Will never go back and a friend, who wanted our opinion before booking for a group of six, will not now be going.
Met with friends for lunch. Recent refurbishment to high standard, but tables only seat 4 people and high backed bench seating is extremely uncomfortable. Extensive menu, but food is very disappointing and poor value, service is non existent and staff are not interested in customers. Check out other 2 star reviews, which very accurately detail shortcomings. We are locals and regularly meet up with friends for lunch, so had high hopes that Ripon Inn would be a good place to add to our list of venues. NO CHANCE, WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING AND HAVE ALREADY WARNED A FRIEND, WHO WAS PLANNING TO GO, NOT TO BOTHER. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Fabulous 3 night stay at the Ripon Inn. The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard. There is an excellent bar area with plenty of seating available for food & drinks. The quality of the food was exceptional. The Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve had in a pub or hotel. Great atmosphere in the bar. Service is friendly and quick. Plenty of parking spaces available on site and only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Ripon. Highly recommended. Ps it’s dog friendly
A newly refurbished hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is of an excellent standard. For anyone staying more than 1 night, they give a green card if you don't wish to have your room serviced - this gives you a free drink of your choice. There's plenty of parking and you are within walking distance of Ripon centre and everything in it.

The King William is Ripon's friendliest pub! We have craft ales, a pool table, a beer garden, a real fire and are dog friendly. No food but great bar snacks, good conversation and a warm welcome.
