Masham lies on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and has the largest market square in Yorkshire.
It is home to two of Yorkshires biggest breweries, Theakstons and Black Sheep so no beer shortage here!
There are a few drinking establishments in Masham so great for a pub crawl but also some fantastic little shops and galleries so there is always something to do.
Fabulous walks along the river or watching cricket on the recreation ground - it all happens in Masham.
We have an Annual Sheep Fair in September and Traction Engine Rally in July - both of which are worth a visit.
The Bruce Arms sits just off the main market square tucked in the corner and boasts the best and largest beer garden in Masham with views over the river and dale beyond.
We have two lettings rooms with a shared bathroom which are ideal for two couples or a family with your choice of twins or doubles, for only £70 per night, per room.

The food was barely hot, and didn't look homemade. Worst was the service, twice the server came over to ask if we had finished even though it was clear that wasn't the case. The second time they asked if they could box up my unfinished meal, even though I only had a single chip and piece of scampi left. If they wanted us to leave, they could have just asked. Cannot recommend, will not be going back.
Worst food I've ever had in a pub. Pie advertised homemade but clearly not. They had no steak available on a Saturday night at all. They don't serve any hot drinks not even a cup of tea. And Burger was awful. So oily it gave me stomach pain afterwards. My partner's beer tasted like water was added. He tried 2 brands and both were watered down. If I could I would rate 0stars.
It's not the best Sunday roast I have ever had. The large plate costs £15 and even though it was very big, it wasn't very good. I have tried 3 different meats. Pork, turkey, and beef. The pork didn't have a great taste. The beef was a bit tough. The turkey was very good. What I really didn't like was the mashed potatoes, which tasted gone off, and all the other vegetables were tasteless. The gravy was also very bland. I like the place inside and the draught beer selection, but I am very disappointed at the Sunday roast. Overall, for the price and the quality, I wouldn't recommend.
A pub that serves both Theakstons and Black Sheep with a great selection of good. Friendly bar staff and great service. Three out of four of us had the steak and ale pie with chips and peas, and I can honestly say I have never had a better pie. Unctuous filling and perfectly crisp pastry. All the food was piping hot and quite delicious. We will definitely eat here again.
Fantastic Sunday dinner, great value, washed down with a canny pint of Theakstons. Best Sunday dinner we've had for a while. Beer garden was large and clean. Staff were very good
