Fantastic little local pub with excellent service, cask beers and great food. We booked a table of 8 over the Xmas period. Booking by email was quick and friendly. All the food was home cooked and delicious. Great selection and everyone’s food was great and arrived quickly. Love a pudding but I’m often disappointed by a standard selection of bought-in stuff- not here!! Proper homemade desserts and custard on offer. Service was terrific- a family business and they clearly work hard and take a lot of pride in what they do. Don’t hesitate to visit.
Booked for a party of 5 using the chat function!! and got a reply super quick! All 5 of us had different meals and everyone’s looked and tasted fantastic all in a great atmosphere with super friendly staff. Well recommended and I will return when in the area next time! Thanks Buck Inn!
A lovely little village pub with excellent food and drink. We were made very welcome and enjoyed food that you might expect in a 5* restaurant. We will certainly be back. The Wold Top Beer was served at perfect temperature and went down very nicely. The decor is thoughtful and the improvements made in this pub is a credit to the current owners.
Had Sunday dinner a couple of times here now and it's flawless. You pay for it but the quality is there and it's all delicious. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus. Will be back when in the area.
We, a family of five, turned up without a reservation with 1 minute before the chef was due to clock off. The staff were super helpful in keeping the kitchen open for us and setting a table even before we got everyone in the door. The burgers and steak pies we had were fab, even though we had a very fussy child with us. The atmosphere with locals and tourists alike with dogs sitting quietly was really good too. Big thumbs up from us. Thanks folks.
