Situated in the Howardian hills an area of outstanding beauty, Swinton is on the busy B1257 between two historic market towns, Malton (2miles) and Helmsley (10miles). Just 15 miles from York, 8 miles from Pickering, Swinton is in the heart of North Yorkshire.
The Blacksmiths Arms is ideally located for tourists or walkers visiting Castle Howard, the coast, the North Yorkshire Moors or the local market towns and tourist attractions in the Ryedale area.
A beautiful stone building the Blacksmiths Arms cannot be missed with ample parking opposite the pub.
A family run business Marcia and John take great pride in offering a warm friendly welcome, great Yorkshire cask ales, wonderful world wines and home cooked wholesome proper Yorkshire food!
Whether straight from the fields or just back from town, all welcome!
North Yorkshire is a fine county to be in and, where we can, we try and source as much produce as locally as possible.
Our meat comes from Sykes House Farm, our fresh fruit and vegetables from Dales of Malton, all our food now is sourced in Yorkshire and all homemade.
We change our menu monthly, which keeps dishes seasonal and exciting. The use of modern techniques, traditional methods and fresh good produce is a winner every time.
